Amputation level finder
Surgeons write transtibial, transfemoral, disarticulation. Families say below the knee, above the knee, at the joint. Choose the line that matches, and the finder names the level and sends you to the guide for it.

We have lost the discharge slip. How can we find the level?
Send a clear photo of the stump from the side on WhatsApp, with the other leg beside it for comparison. The prosthetist will tell you the level.
The amputation is very close to the knee. Is it below knee or through knee?
If the patient can still bend and straighten a knee joint, it is below knee, however short. If the limb ends at the rounded end of the thigh bone with no shin, it is a knee disarticulation. A photo settles it.
Does the level decide the price?
It sets the starting point, because levels at and above the knee need a knee joint. The price estimator shows the range for each level.
