College Park artificial leg parts in Pakistan

College Park, from Michigan, approaches a foot the way a good tailor approaches a suit. Its feet are assembled to order for the individual's weight, foot size and way of walking, and can be tuned afterwards by changing small internal parts.

Our honest view

Strengths, and what to watch

Where College Park is strong

  • Genuine multi axial movement. The foot tilts and twists as a natural foot does, which suits our ground.
  • Built to order, then tunable by swapping internal bumpers, so the feel can be adjusted without a new foot
  • Natural looking foot shells, including sandal toe versions
  • A good range for low activity users, not only athletes

What to weigh up

  • Moving parts mean bumpers and bushings that wear and need periodic replacement
  • Heavier than a simple carbon foot
  • Built to order, so the specification sent must be right, and lead time is longer
  • Dust and water shorten the life of the moving sections

Using College Park in Pakistani conditions

Of all foot designs, the multi axial is the one that answers Karachi's footpaths most directly. When one edge of the foot lands on a raised slab, the foot tilts and the socket does not, so the stump is spared the twist.

The price of that comfort is maintenance. The rubber bumpers inside soften with heat and use, and should be checked yearly. They are inexpensive parts, and we order spares with the foot so that a service does not wait on a shipment.

Because each foot is built to a specification, we record weight, shoe size, heel height, activity and amputation level carefully, and ask you to confirm them before the order goes in.

Artificial Leg Karachi imports and fits College Park components to order. We are independent of every manufacturer, recommend by need and budget, and earn nothing from steering you to one name over another. Product ranges change, so we confirm the current model, its weight rating and its water rating with the maker before anything is ordered. College Park and its product names are trade marks of their owner and are used here only to describe the products.

Questions

College Park questions

Ask your own question on WhatsApp

What does multi axial mean in a College Park foot?

The foot moves in more than one direction: up and down at the ankle, tilting side to side, and a little rotation. It lets the sole stay flat on uneven ground while the leg stays upright.

Is College Park part of Ossur?

Both belong to the same parent group, now called Embla Medical. College Park was acquired in a deal completed in 2020 and continues to operate under its own name.

How often does a College Park foot need servicing?

Have it checked once a year, sooner with heavy use. Worn bumpers make the foot feel soft or noisy, and they are inexpensive to replace.

Can a College Park foot be worn with chappals?

Yes. Sandal toe foot shells are available. The foot is built for one heel height, so tell us your everyday footwear before it is ordered.
